Pau Hernández del Águila

Pau Hernández del Águila is a PhD Candidate at the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University. He studied the double degree in Political Science and Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and later completed the Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe in Warsaw, where he specialised in the European Neighbourhood Policy.

He has previously worked at the Fundació Autònoma Solidària on development cooperation projects, as well as at a law firm in the criminal law department. His research focuses on the legal framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy, with a particular interest in strengthening the rule of law and democracy in the EU’s neighbouring countries, especially those currently undergoing negotiations for accession.
